Lily for the Congo are a UK charity and we support a community of children and their widowed mums in a town in The Democratic Republic of Congo, in Africa.
We achieve this through our child sponsorship program to provide education, housing and support to the most vulnerable children who have lost one or both parents.
We are a small charity, ran by volunteers, and have been helping children since 2003.
Every penny of donations goes to the children to pay for education and wellness.
We are in daily contact with the community and we are able to send photos and updates between ourselves and the children in Congo.
We can’t change the world, but your sponsorship changes the world for each child.
A monthly donation of £25 to £30 transforms the life of a child, bringing hope and securing their future.
The primary focus is their education and ideally children are supported until 18, or longer, depending on when they finish basic education.
Sponsorship also covers the rents we pay for housing the children, food and basic medical supplies.
Any amount you give, no matter how small, will be used without deductions to improve the life of a child in The Congo – new clothes, school books, or even toys where children have none.
Alternatively a small lump sum can help towards our objective of building a more self-sustaining community
Thank you!
We know that child sponsorship only goes part of the way towards helping others. Ideally we want to help our community in Congo to help themselves.
A corporate gift will help
us develop a sustainable , community, including growing our own food; buying our own school & accommodation
buildings; perhaps one day a medical centre. With your support, all these are achievable
Please choose us as your charity of the year.
